Mr. Patel will engage in an in depth consultation with you to ensure every aspect of your eye and visual problem is addressed.
New Patient Consultation
Detailed discussion with comprehensive examination & ocular assessment.
Follow up Consultation
Please note that there is no additional cost for your post operative follow up appointment. This is included as part of your care package when you pay the hospital for your surgery.
Second Opinion Consultation
Patient's often self refer themselves to Mr. Patel who have developed unsatisfactory outcomes or complications. Mr. Patel will discuss the problem in detail with you and formulate a plan to manage the condition moving forwards.
Refractive lens exchange / lens replacement
(Fee will be waived if you are suitable and proceed with surgery)
Cataract Surgery Costs
The cost of your cataract surgery is determined by the private hospital that you choose to have your surgery at. These costs include all pre-operative eye measurements, the cost of admission and surgery under local anaesthetic and your postoperative follow up schedule with Mr. Patel
Cataract Surgery with Monofocal lens implant
A monofocal lens implant is designed to correct a significant proportion of your distance spectacle or contact lens prescription. It will not correct any astigmatism that may be present.
Cataract Surgery with Monofocal Toric lens implant
A toric lens corrects astigmatism. This lens implant is aimed at your full distance spectacle prescription.
Cataract Surgery with Multifocal (presbyopia correcting) lens implant
These are the most technologically advanced lens implants that are available for complete sight correction. There are many types of multifocal lens implants that Mr. Patel will discuss with you during your consultation should this be an option you wish to consider.
YAG laser costs
YAG laser capsulotomy
This is an outpatient department procedure. Visual recovery is extremely rapid. The majority of patient's will appreciate an improvement in vision immediately. The maximum visual benefit will be experienced once the pupil dilating effects of drops have worn off.
Implantable Contact Lens (ICL)
The costs are dependant on the strength and complexity of your spectacle or contact lens prescription. As with any surgical procedure, a thorough evaluation of your eyes and ocular health is essential. It is important that you choose a surgeon that has expertise in cornea and lens based surgery.
